We are hiring! Director of Music/Organist

First Baptist Church of Denver is seeking a Director of Music/Organist to lead its music ministry and worship experiences. This person will coordinate responsibilities for worship services, work collaboratively with church musicians, direct our choirs/vocalists, and play the organ in worship services.

First Baptist Church of Denver is an historic church at the southwest corner of 14th and Grant in Denver, Colorado. First Baptist Church’s Grand Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ is made up of over 6,100 pipes. It takes a massive fifteen-horsepower electric blower, capable of creating two different wind pressures, to supply air to all the pneumatic controls and wind chests.

Salary: $1400.00 per month.

Work Schedule: 10-12 hours per week; Sunday worship, Easter and Christmas Eve services, and rehearsals are the only in-person requirements.

Qualifications: At least 3-5 years of church music ministry experience, as well as 2-3 years of organ experience. Familiarity with traditional as well as contemporary music is needed.
