Imagine walking down the aisle in our beautiful, historic sanctuary constructed in 1937 in the “Christopher Wren” architectural style. It seats 300 people and features soaring pillars and elegant granite and marble stonework in the narthex as you enter the church. The church also boasts the largest pure pipe organ between Chicago and Salt Lake City. With 6,000 pipes, our 126 rank Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ is among the largest instruments in the United States.
Preparation rooms for ceremony participants are available.
Experienced ministerial staff is available to perform wedding/commitment ceremonies and assist with planning, or you may choose your own officiant. If you would like to use the minister of First Baptist as an officiant, please contact us in advance.
Our organist may be scheduled to play for your wedding and a grand piano also is available.

Base Fees:Sanctuary (3 hour max): $800
- Included: Rehearsal (two hour maximum), use of piano, all first floor restrooms, chancel furniture.
- Our sanctuary is livestream capable. If you would like your service livestreamed, we can do so to our YouTube page (or a page of your choosing) for an additional $200 fee.
- A dinner following rehearsal is not included in our base fees. If you would like a dinner after your rehearsal, we will charge our normal hourly rates for our downstairs hall (up to $220/hr for the full space)
Reception in Fellowship/Miller Hall (5 hour max): $1,100
- Included: Use of kitchen, chairs, tables, A/V.
Custodial Fee: $150
FBCD Coordinator*: $300
Sound Tech, if needed: $200

*FBCD Coordinator: First Baptist can provide a wedding coordinator for you, to ensure your big day goes smoothly from start to finish, for an additional fee. You may also use your own coordinator, if you prefer.
**Organ Use - The current FBCD staff organist has the right of first refusal to play for any event requesting the organ.
***Overtime Fee: If your event goes over any of the maximum time limits allowed, a fee of $50 per additional hour used will be assessed.
Reservation Deposit - $200 non-refundable deposit due at scheduling, to secure location and date. This deposit does contribute to your final balance.
Damage Deposit - $200 refundable deposit held for damages to our building during the event. If no damages are found following the event, this deposit will be returned.
Base Fee Balance – Full balance of the building rental fees are due no later than 60 days prior to the event. All other fees that are paid directly to service providers (e.g. Clergy, Organist, Audio, Coordinator) are due at the rehearsal.
